This year, October is the 7th month by the sacred calendar, in which we can receive the blessing of the Holy Spirit from God abundantly. On October 3 (the 1st day of the seventh month by the sacred calendar), the members, who had been doing their best as the spiritual harvesters, celebrated the Assembly of the Feast of Trumpets.

God established the seven feasts of three times through the works of Moses, which would be fulfilled through Jesus from the Cross to the Judgment. So the Feast of Trumpets also originated from the works of Moses. After the Exodus, Moses went up Mount Sinai for the first time to receive the Ten Commandments. While he stayed there forty days and nights, the people made an idol in the form of a golden calf and worshiped it, forgetting the grace of God who released them from Egypt, the land of slavery. When Moses came down from the mountain after receiving the Ten Commandments, he saw them worshiping the golden calf and he threw the tablets out of his hands and broke them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. The idol worship of the Israelites brought a great disaster upon them, and about three thousand of them died. After that, they realized their sins and stripped off their ornaments and repented, worshiping God. God forgave their sins and allowed Moses to receive the Ten Commandments a second time (Ex 33:12-17).
The 10th day of the seventh month by the sacred calendar is the Day of Atonement on which Moses came down from Mount Sinai after receiving the Ten Commandments a second time. The Israelites blew trumpets 10 days before the Day of Atonement to prepare for the feast. It was called the Feast of Trumpets. During the prayer weeks of 10 days from the Feast of Trumpets until the Day of Atonement, the saints who keep the feasts of the new covenant cleanse themselves, who are the materials of heavenly temple, by confessing their sins to God and repenting, and wait for the Holy Spirit of the latter rain to come upon them at the Feast of Tabernacles.
Heavenly Mother gave thanks to Father for giving endless blessings to the children through the Assembly of the Feast of Trumpets. She asked Father to give the abundant blessing of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain with the forgiveness of sins to all the children who have come to Him with belief in His power. Mother also showed pity on people suffering from various disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes, and prayed Father to let His children blow the trumpet of the truth and lead them to Zion, the place of salvation. ⓒ 2005 WATV
The Chief Pastor Kim Joo Cheol preached on the origin of the Feast of Trumpets on which the Israelites informed the Day of Atonement by blowing the trumpets to urge the repentance, and he let the members realize what they had to do in this age of disaster. He also said that the main purpose of God's giving feasts to people is to distinguish God's people from the others, and that God's purpose of distinguishing them is to judge them. In the Bible, there is a parable that the wheats and weeds are tied in bundles separately in the harvest time. What ties them in bundles separately is the feasts.
The importance of the feasts, God's commandments, is clearly understood through the history of Judah who was destroyed by Babylon as they forsook the feasts. Pastor Kim Joo Cheol emphasized that we must keep the feasts to be saved and that Zion which keeps the feasts is the safest fortified city in this age of disaster.
In the afternoon worship service, he asked us to preach Zion and to awaken the world by blowing the trumpets loudly like the voice of Jesus who urged repentance, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." He also said that we should not only blow the trumpets but also we should go and teach them to follow God's word. Telling the story of Jonah who urged the Ninevites to repent of their sins and get salvation, he said, "When we go and preach with firm belief in God, we will achieve an amazing result just as the Ninevites who were to die were saved. Now we should be the prophets who save many people from the disasters by preaching the truth of salvation to the whole world."
The members gave thanks to God for restoring His appointed feasts through which they can enter the heavenly barn with the blessing of the forgiveness of sins. And they looked back on themselves to see if they were asleep, not realizing what this age is.
The members, who received abundant blessing on the Feast of Trumpets, prepared for the Day of Atonement to receive the forgiveness of sins by praying of repentance in the morning and evening for 10 days.
