The members, whose minds had become clean through the Day of Atonement, attended the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles on October 14 (the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), and received the abundant blessings of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.

The Feast of Tabernacles originated from the following event: The Israelites, who had been given the second tablets of the Ten Commandments after repenting of their sin of idolatry, gave thanks to God and brought their free offerings which were more than enough for building the tabernacle in which the Ten Commandments would be kept. In the Old Testament Times, the Israelites took branches from various trees to make booths, and they lived in the booths for seven days with great joy. This historical and prophetical event of the feast is to be fulfilled through the preaching movement to gather God’s people in this age, represented by trees and materials for the temple (Exodus 35; Leviticus 23; Jer 5:14; Eph 2:20-22).

At the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles, Mother prayed earnestly to Father to open the doors of heaven and pour out the promised Holy Spirit of the latter rain like a waterfall upon Her children. She also prayed that all of Her children would realize what age the Feast of Tabernacles represents prophetically and would participate in the work of gathering the materials for the Heavenly Temple with one mind so that they could find all the members of the heavenly family scattered around the world.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim reminded the members of the meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles and its prophecy, and urged, “Let’s quickly accomplish the movement to save the world, not losing this gracious opportunity to build the spiritual temple.” He repeatedly emphasized that God’s power would come upon those who believe and obey God’s word, “Go and preach to all nations,” and confidently go forward. In addition, he encouraged the members, saying, “Let us accomplish the great revival of preaching through the work of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain, so that we can relieve the troubled heart of God who is anxious and worried about the souls who have not yet heard the gospel.”

From Oct. 14th, the Preaching Week began. For seven days, the members asked for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit early in the morning and in the evening as well and participated in gathering the materials for the Heavenly Temple. While continuously hearing the joyous news that many good fruits were being borne all around the world, the members greeted the Last Day of the Feast on October 21 (the 22nd day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the eighth day after the Preaching Week.

After Mother’s prayer of blessing, General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim delivered the will of God, contained in the Feast of Tabernacles, through the prophecy about the completion of the spiritual temple and the prophecy concerning the descent of the Holy Spirit. He added, “Only those who completely realize Mother the heavenly Jerusalem, who is the reality of the Most Holy Place and the source of the water of life, can receive the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.”

At the afternoon service, Mother personally delivered the words of life. She reminded the members of the mission of the spiritual harvesters, entrusted to the children of heaven in this age, and also of the blessings given to them through the mission, and encouraged them, saying, “Swing the sickle of God’s word and gather in haste the spiritual wheat that is fully ripe all around the world into the heavenly barn as diligent harvesters (Isa 62:9; Mk 4:29; Rev 14:14-20). Mother added, “Let’s preach the good news of the gospel to numerous souls who suffer because of various disasters and invite them to participate together in the Passover, the feast of life,” and bestowed the abundant blessings of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain upon Her children.

In this spiritual autumn when the season’s last crops are being harvested, the members, who received the promised Holy Spirit to the fullest, firmly committed themselves to carry out the mission of spiritual watchmen until they bring all the wheat throughout the world into the heavenly barn.
