From Ushuaia in Argentina, a city close to the South Pole, to Sertung in Nepal, a village in the Himalayas, the whole world is in high spirits with the Movement to Preach to Seven Billion People. In Korea, Zions have been established one after another due to the increased number of brothers and sisters despite the hot summer weather. On July 25, 2017, three churches held the dedication ceremonies: the Gongju Church and the Jiksan Church in Cheonan, both in South Chungcheong Province, and the Sosabeol Church in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The local members participated in the dedication services with joy: “We expect a great blessing through the dedication ceremonies.”

Mother expressed how happy and sorry She was to meet them after a good while, and blessed each church greatly. She also asked the members to be united as they were about to make a new leap forward in the gospel work with the new temples. Mother taught them that the secret to the amazing gospel results lies in unity and said, “The best work and the greatest love in the world is preaching the gospel as it saves dying souls and leads them to heaven. Let’s be united among the members and the churches to practice good deeds and love to our neighbors.”

“We were doomed to die, but God changed our fate, so that we may live forever. Let’s have confidence as heavenly children, who’ve received the blessing first, and also as people who will fulfill the great gospel mission to change the fate of mankind, and boldly preach the truth of life,” said General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol with emphasis. “When we firmly believe that God’s administration will surely succeed and walk in step with the prophecies, the gospel goal will be surely achieved,” he added, wishing all the new temples to become the lighthouses of the truth that flash a bright light and show the way to heaven to people who are confined in spiritual darkness (Gal 4:28; 1 Jn 2:25; Isa 60:1–12; Eze 47:1–12; Heb 11:6; Mt 24:14).

The Gongju Church

Gongju is the city that retains traces of history as it was the capital city of Baekje, one of ancient kingdoms of Korea. The Gongju Church, located in Geumseong-dong, has an antique appearance, suggesting a palace, which goes well with its surroundings. Out the window of the church, Gongju Gongsanseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is seen.

The members of the Gongju Church expressed their aspirations: “The 110,000 citizens of Gongju are proud of its culture and tradition. We’ll make them proud of the truth, too.”

The Jiksan Church in Cheonan

The four-story building is impressive that it stands out even at a distance. Mountains and fields at the back of the church look comforting.

“Cheonan is larger than Seoul. As there are many places to deliver God’s love to, we’ll quickly accomplish the gospel work in Cheonan with the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Cheonan is an important traffic hub with five expressways including Gyeongbu Expressway. Expectations of the Jiksan Church’s missionary and voluntary work are high.

The Sosabeol Church in Pyeongtaek

Camp Humphreys, the largest U.S. Army garrison overseas, is located and a large-scale industry complex is being built in Pyeongtaek. Its city development index, including population, is rising rapidly. As the Sosabeol Church is close to Pyeongtaek City Hall and Baedari Ecological Park, a local attraction, many local residents and foreigners are expected to visit.

Brother Jonathan Lewis, a staff sergeant of the U.S. Armed Forces in Korea, likened the beauty of the new temple to the hearts of the brothers and sisters. “Working is hard sometimes, but in Zion I always feel as if I’m comforted by God and Zion family members. I’ll do my best to share this happiness with my fellow troop members,” he said.
