The Feast of Tabernacles 2012

September 30 (the 15th day of the seventh month by the sacred calendar), 2012, was the Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast among the seven feasts in three times.

The Feast of Tabernacles is the day to commemorate the completion of the tabernacle. When Moses descended from Mount Sinai on the 10th day of the seventh month by the sacred calendar (the Day of Atonement), he proclaimed the construction of the tabernacle as God had ordered, where they would keep the Ten Commandments given them a second time. For seven days from the 15th day of that month, the Israelites voluntarily brought materials, which were more than enough for the temple. The Feast of Tabernacles originated from this, and every year the Israelites built booths with various kinds of branches and stayed in the booths with joy for a week (Ex 36:1-7; Lev 23:33-44). In the New Testament times, the prophecy about the Feast of Tabernacles is fulfilled by preaching for seven days to gather the people of heaven who are represented as the material for the temple and as trees (Eph 2:10-22; Jer 5:14).

On this day, Mother gave thanks to Father for allowing the heavenly children to have the feast of life, and prayed that the work of finding our lost heavenly family members, to the last one, would soon be finished by the power of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain that was poured out on the Feast of Tabernacles. Mother reminded the members of the profound prophetical meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles―the completion of the spiritual temple, and She stated, “God blesses those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles in accordance with His words (Zec 14:16-19). Let us earnestly pray to receive the Holy Spirit during the preaching week of the Feast of Tabernacles, and lead many souls to Zion the refugee of salvation, so that we can practice the greatest love of saving souls.”

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol testified, “The core of the Feast of Tabernacles is the temple, and the reality of the temple is the heavenly Jerusalem Mother from whom the water of life flows out” (Zec 14:6-8; Gal 4:26). And he explained, “The history of completing the construction of the tabernacles with abundant materials in the desert, and the celebration for this feast in the old covenant by rejoicing while staying in booths symbolize that the saints who are represented as the materials for the temple come to Mother, and rejoice over salvation and peace in Her arms (Isa 66:10-14). Let us discover God the Mother hidden behind the Feast of Tabernacles, and display the glory of Jerusalem Mother to the whole world.” He hoped that many souls would revive by the water of life flowing out from Mother through the Feast of Tabernacles.

The preaching week lasted for a week from this day. The members throughout the world were moved by the Holy Spirit, and joyfully brought good fruit into the barn of Zion. In Korea, where the week of the feast and its national holiday, Chuseok, coincided, the members delivered the hope for heaven to their family, relatives and neighbors very hard. On the 8th day, October 7 (the 22nd day of the seventh month by the sacred calendar), the members met on the Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles when they were promised to receive the Holy Spirit of the latter rain.

During the morning service, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol preached, “The reason Jesus gave the water of life on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast among the seven feasts, is to show us that the source of the living water, in this age when the prophecy of the Feast of Tabernacles is being fulfilled, is our Heavenly Mother. God the Father and God the Mother pour the Holy Spirit on those who come to Them, and make them the royal priesthood of heaven” (Jn 7:37-39; Rev 22:17). He urged the members, saying, “Let us lead all the people of the world to Father and Mother by preaching hard to Samaria and to the ends of the world with the power of the Holy Spirit that we’ve received, and fulfill the prophecy that the water of life forms a river and revives all the nations” (Eze 47:1-12).

In the afternoon service, Mother Herself gave a sermon with the title, “Do This, Understanding the Present Time,” and poured the Holy Spirit upon the members abundantly. Mother repeatedly emphasized, saying, “In this sorrowful age of disasters and sins, you must understand the present time, seeing all the prophecies of the Bible being fulfilled, and change into a good character worthy of the heavenly children, and be prepared to enter the kingdom of heaven.” She encouraged the members, saying, “Even the members with rough edges can change beautifully when they make efforts to be reborn.” Mother reminded the members of the love and efforts Father made to lead His children to the glorious kingdom of heaven by refining them like gold, and said, “Let us change into holiness to be spotless and blameless and put on the clothes of faith, and participate in the dedication ceremony of the heavenly temple—the heavenly banquet that lasts forever, in heaven there is no pain and sorrow” (Ro 13:11-14; 2 Pe 3:6-14; Mal 3:2-3; Mt 22:1-14; 1 Ti 4:6-8).

The members received the power of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain to the fullest with thanks and delight. They hoped that they would find all heavenly family members scattered throughout the world by the power of the Holy Spirit so that the New Jerusalem Temple will be completed soon.
